Three days of storms and high winds will hit parts of Romania this week, weather forecasters said Monday.
The National Meteorology Administration said the thunderstorms and rain would start on Monday evening and end Thursday morning.
The atmospheric instability will bring the storms to in the southwest, the south and central region and in the mountains, forecasters said.
Torrential rain, thunder and lightning, gales and hailstorms are expected.
In some areas there will be 15-25 liters of rain on Wednesday evening and even up to 40 liters per square meter in other areas.
The rain comes after a prolonged drought.
