British Ambassador Andrew Noble has made a farewell video at one of his favourite places, the Athenaeum, where he speaks about what has been achieved during his five-year mandate, his desire to return, and the exceptional bilateral relations between the UK and Romania.
Citing Britain’s King Charles III, who has been visiting Romania for 25 years, he said: “This is a country of glories. This is a country you long to return,” said Ambassador Noble on the eve of his departure standing in the 19th century concert hall, nicknamed the Romanian temple of arts.
“That will be my priority to get back and see to visit the countryside and to absorb more of this fascinating country: the painted monasteries, the Danube Delta, the Carpathians, the beaches or the vibrant city life.”
“This is a country you need to get to know first-hand.”
The video can also be watched on the British Embassy Facebook page.
