After an unseasonably warm October, a wave of cold air will hit Romania this week bringing a significant drop in temperatures starting Tuesday.
The weather continues to be warm Monday, with 20 Celsius in the capital, but there will be a change in temperature starting in the evening. Rain is forecast for parts of northern Romania, and fog will return at night over the country.
The temperatures will start to drop beginning Tuesday, especially in western Romania. It will also snow in the coming days at altitudes over 1,400 meters.
There is an increased chance of rainfall on Tuesday, and again from Nov. 2-3 and Nov. 6-8.
The warmer weather will return starting Sunday, Nov. 3.
In Bucharest, it will be only 10 Celsius on Wednesday, when it will also rain, according to the National Meteorological Agency’s forecast.
It will be even colder on Thursday, with a maximum temperature of 9 degrees Celsius, while at night it will drop to freezing.
