“Mănăștura” is a community cargo bike in Cluj, with free 24/7 access.
The project is designed by three young people interested in sustainability.
It can carry a total load of up to 180 kilograms.
It’s an electric bike with a motor, and therefore perfect for hilly Cluj.
Access is free through a control and reservation system created by Rastel.io.
To use it you, you must download the Rastel.io app, and then pick it up from the @rastel.io bike garage in Mănăștur.
You can use it 24/7 but are encouraged to do so reasonably so that others can use it.
Maximum speed is 25 km/h.
They hope to add more bike, sponsored by ING Bank.
