Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan sent a message of thanks to the United States on Friday on US Independence Day thanking it for its ‘constant support’ and evoking the Strategic Partnership between the two nations.
“It offers cooperation and a solid basis, built on trust, respect and common goals built on trust,” the prime minister said.
“In difficult times, authentic partnerships become all the more valuable,” Mr. Bolojan added.
“Today we send our best wishes on the occasion of Independence Day….This day represents the desire for freedom and democracy, values that Romania shares with the United States,” he said.
“We are grateful for the continued support of the United States and look forward to further developing this important relationship. Happy birthday to the United States of America and the American people! Here’s to many years of Romanian-American friendship!”, he ended his message.
The U.S.-Romania Strategic Partnership, signed in 2011, is a bilateral agreement focused on strengthening cooperation between the two countries in political-military relations, law enforcement, and economic ties. It’s rooted in shared democratic values and a commitment to regional security, particularly in the Black Sea region.
