900,000 euros to support German language teachers in Romania

Germany, through its Embassy in Bucharest, will allot EUR 900,000 this year to support German language teachers in Romania, reports Romania Insider.

The financing aims to promote the German language as the mother tongue in public schools in Romania and reduce the deficit of qualified teachers.

Last year, Germany committed EUR 753,000 in support of German language teachers in Romania.

As an official language of the European Union, German plays a crucial role in business, diplomacy, and education. For Romanians, learning German opens up job opportunities and enables them to interact with German-speaking communities across the world.
