Passengers of an American Airlines flight were evacuated onto the tarmac of an airport in Colorado after a fire broke on the plane.
Smoke could be seen billowing in the air.
A video shows passengers huddled on the wings with their bags in hand as flames devoured the underbelly of the plane.
Luckily, they were actually able to reach ground safely with inflatable slides.
12 people suffered minor injuries – probably not from fire itself but from the escape adventure.
Luckily, the crew reported “engine vibrations”, which caused the surprise landing in Denver – truly in the nick of time, as the plane caught fire taxiing on the airport tarmac.
The black smoke billowed out from under the right engine, exactly as the evacuate slide was hurried to the rear door.
Recently, several alarming plane accidents have taken place.
The worst of them all killed 67 people, when a US Army Black Hawk helicopter crashed into a regional jet, which was also American Airlines.
Some have blamed layoffs for a crash hat might have been avoided had there not been shortages.
