Cluj school of Medicine to open up an Italian branch in Italy

Iuliu Hațieganu University of Medicine and Farmacy in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, will open a branch in Novara, Italy, for its English-language program of Medicine. The project is supported by the Italian healthcare system, which is facing a dire shortage of medical personnel.

Novara is a city of over 105,000 residents, 45 km from Milan.

It has nine hospitals and a modern educational infrastructure, including both lecture halls and laboratories.

Students will still belong to UMF Cluj, reporting back to it and being taught by their original professors indefinitely, as the English-language section of UMF has been in place for some time – in fact, it has 3,300 students from over 80 countries.

The rector of UMF Cluj, Dr. Anca Buzoianu, pointed out on Facebook that any student of UMF Cluj can attend, regardless of what citizenship they hold.
