- Somewhere between caricature and imposture, the pro-Russian candidate for the presidency of Romania, Calin Georgescu, takes up all the space.
- Between selling out the country and betraying the nation, the pro-Russian “raised” by the Securitate of the Ceausescu era lies like any thug in a smoky bar: he’s hollow, noisy, can’t be disturbed and monopolizes every inch and decibel.
- And between the ridiculous and the absurd, the Russian plant ticks every box.
Undoubtedly, Romanians will remember forever, and be extremely ashamed of the fact that such an insane person managed, at least for a while, to become a relevant actor n the national public space.
Let’s hope that, for the current generation of Romanians and for those who follow them, will be limited to this: embarrassment and remorse, and not making the leap towards a real national tragedy. Because a national tragedy, dear fellow citizens, will not bypass us if the path of this character does not get blocked while there is still time.
Normally, Calin Georgescu’s path should not be stopped at the polls, but before we get that far. All the elements for an institutional decision in this regard have already been met:
- He declared he would abolish the parties, therefore canceling the entire political-social system enshrined and protected by the Romanian Constitution.
- He made an apology for the criminal Ion Antonescu and for the no less criminal Legionary movement, despite the fact that history is witness to the abominable impact that both Antonescu and the Legionnaires had on Romania. He did this even though legislation prohibits the cult of such monsters.
- He is a declared enemy of the country’s pro-Western strategic orientation, a path desired by the Romanian people, obtained with great efforts and a masses of luck; an orientation enshrined in treaties which Romania has signed and ratified. .
- He uttered threats and blackmailed officials and institutions in the Romanian state.
- Calin Georgescu’s meteoric rise was due to a massive intervention by the Russian secret services in Romania’s internal affairs, as part of a broader hybrid war waged by Russia against Romania and its allies on both sides of the Atlantic.
- Finally, precisely because of the Georgescu-Moscow symbiosis, which led to corruption of the electoral process in Romania, the presidential elections were canceled.
But beyond the objective elements that demand (in principal, strategically and perfectly constitutionally) that Călin Georgescu is banned from running in the May presidential elections, there is also a somewhat subjective dimension which is strangely perverse.
It can be easily identified.
- With the help of Russia – agents, money, cyber infrastructures – Călin Georgescu was profiled and profiled as a thoroughbred sovereignist who has only one party – the People – one interest – the People – and one God – the People.
Georgescu, supported by the Russians, claims that this ‘People’ is the Romanian people.
But its activity shows that this ‘People’ is in fact the Russian people (at least a significant fraction of the Russian people, which is either excited by the dictator Putin’s revisionism of the, or undisturbed by this revisionism).
“Romania’s chance is Russian wisdom,” said Calin Georgescu a few years ago. And since Russia invaded Ukraine, Georgescu has embarked on THE adventure of his tiny life, to mercilessly push his country into the forced march with the end result: slavery organized by “Russian wisdom”.
- Helped by the Russians, Călin Georgescu presented himself to the Romanians as the vehicle (the only possible and credible one) that will not represent them on their knees, abroad, that will not negotiate the interests of the People silently and with an outstretched palm, that will take its light from the Dacians, from the Thracians, from the Holy Spirit, from Horea, Cloșca and Crișan, from Avram Iancu and from Eminescu… from Marshal Antonescu and Zelea Codreanu.
In reality, the same Calin Georgescu demonstrated that his thoroughbred sovereignty is infected with traces of the HIV virus.
Indeed, Călin Georgescu gets tough with the European Union, although he does not tell his people what he will put on their plate instead if the European Union gets tired of a Romania led by Călin Georgescu.
Because from the common market, to the simplified travel gained by belonging to the Schengen area, to the residence and work permits for Romanians in the diaspora and the tens of billions of euros in European funds, the EU can cut, if necessary, an entire universe of facilities and opportunities that have made ordinary Romanians richer, more cosmopolitan, more capable, more educated, better dressed and better fed than – let’s remember – where we all were before accession; which obviously helped Romanians get to a better place than… the Russians.
On the other hand, as much as Călin is a rooster with the EU and Ursula von der Leyen, he turns into a mouse in front of Putin and Trump.
He says nothing critical about the Russian dictator – although he is an invader, a killer of Ukrainian children, a murderer of innocents in African states and Syria, an executioner even with his fellow citizens who reproach him for his stupidity. Nothing critical of the Russian dictator even when it is obvious that the standard of living in the dictator’s country is horribly low, and this is not only in relation to the natural potential of the country.
The pro-Russian Călin Georgescu shows obsequious servility towards Trump.
What sovereignty is that in which, when asked what you will do with a NATO base on the territory of your own country, you answer that you will “ask Donald Trump”?
How is it that, suddenly, you ask a foreigner how and what to do in your country, after you have accused others of selling the country abroad? Where, esteemed one, is that People who are your party, are your support, and the only God?
Not even in the sewage wastewater can you detect such a concentration of bacteria as you can detect in the non-sovereignty in the “sovereignty” of Calin Georgescu towards Putin and now also towards Trump.
Dear genuinely ‘sovereignist’ fellow citizens, be careful and compare what you want with what Calin Georgescu intends in reality.
- Călin Georgescu is a fervent critic of Volodymyr Zelensky. Although he does not attack the Ukrainian leader in Russian, he does so with the shamelessness and fake news of a Z-Russian.
Among the many and insolvable problems that Călin Georgescu has when, licking a lemon, you start comparing him with Volodymyr Zelensky, the next one is quite astonishing for our Romanian who bathes in the lake in winter and crosses meadows in summer wearing an ie peasant blouse and riding a white horse: while Georgescu kneels in front of Putin and Trump and “barks” from a safe distance at Ursula von der Leyen, Zelensky negotiates on his feet and with no inferiority complex with Biden, now with Trump and for three years with Ursula, while Putin has taken a beating for over a thousand days in a real war.
The contrast is fantastic, the humiliation of our pro-Russian is superb, the distance between his messianic word and his earthly everyday deeds speaks for itself.
For three years now, from Washington to Brussels to Moscow, Zelensky has not forgiven anything and does not forgive anyone, to keep his country afloat, so that at some point he will rescue it and take it to the shore, and later see it enjoying the seaside.
By comparison, for over a decade and accelerated in recent months, Călin Georgescu has been implementing the underground plan of an enemy power that aims to annex not so much the territory of Romania, but precisely its people.
It is a shame that a European country, of the 21st century, has reached the point where Călin Georgescu is of public interest and political-geopolitical actor. It’s shameful, not “just” dangerous!
This moral simpleton is in the end the same individual who, after mocking modern medicine, trivializing it as “invented specifically for fear”, has just had knee surgery. This sovereigntist amoeba, the sources say, went abroad for treatment as his country probably stinks honestly as long as he remains there is no government.
Calin Georgescu branded a ‘fascist charlatan’ who won two million votes ‘under dubious conditions’
