Mezzo classical music channel is launched in Romania, Hungary

Mezzo classical musical channel has been launched in Hungary and Romania.

It will be available on on European pay-TV operator M7 Group Direct One in Hungary and Focus Sat in Romania.

“We are delighted to expand Mezzo’s availability in Hungary and Romania as a major development of the channel in Europe with our key partner M7”, said Menno Hidajattoellah, the managing director of THEMA Northern Europe who brokered the deal on behalf of THEMA, a CANAL+ Group company.

Stefano Colombo, VP Content of M7, told Broadband TV news: “I am pleased that our Hungarian and Romanian channel line-ups will be enriched with such valuable content.”

„From now on our subscribers to the Smart package in Hungary and the AccessMax package in Romania will be offered the best of classical music, jazz and dance in high quality”.

Mezzo was launched in 1996. It offers classical music, jazz, dance and opera from all around the world. It broadcasts in 90 countries to over 60 million subscribing households.

It offers 300 hours of content per year and features two live and direct broadcasts per month. It says Mezzo Live HD delivers the unique concert hall experience directly into subscribers’ homes.
