Humanity has lost a leader whose voice was the voice of the marginalized, the suffering and those that have endured great hardship, Romania’s ambassador to the Vatican, George Bologan said.
Pope Francis passed away on Easter Monday at the age of 88, a day after he publicly celebrated Christianity’s greatest day, blessing children and meeting the crowds.
“He was a friend of Romania and the Romanians. With gratitude we join in prayer for the soul of His Holiness,” the Ambassador said on a post on X.
