Romania holds 96% of gas in storage

As of November 1st, Romania has 2.963 billion cubic meters of natural gas in storage, which represents a percentage of 96.52%, announced Romania’s Minister of Energy, Virgil Popescu.

„Today, November 1, we have 96.52% of natural gas in storage – 2,963.3 million cubic meters. We will not have problems with gas this winter. The population and the economy will not suffer”, the minister wrote on Tuesday on Facebook.

The minimum threshold approved for Romania in the new regulation of the European Commission, of 80%, was reached on September 17.
