Russian forces unleashed a new series of drone attacks on the civilian and infrastructure targets in Ukraine near its river border with Romania in Tulcea County.

Romania’s Ministry of National Defense (MApN) reports that four fighter aircraft, two F-16 and two F-18, monitored, on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday, the Romanian airspace, in the context of new drone attacks on the Ukrainian port infrastructure from border.

Two Romanian police drones and two from the Spanish Air Force promptly set off in response.

The drones were heading for Ukraine. Local populations in Tulcea County and Galati received RO-ALERT messages at 2:41 AM.

During this time interval, Romania’s radar surveillance system did not detect the penetration of the drones involved in the attack on the Ukrainian targets into the national airspace, reports Agerpres.

The Ministry of National Defense reminded Russia and the global community that such threats are in serious contradiction with the norms of international law.
