On Truth Social, Donald Trump has threatened to apply a whopping 100% tariff on all Canadian goods if Canada’s prime minister strikes a trade deal with China.

This coms after increased tension between Trump and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney after Trump’s controversial speech at Davos.

After Carney spoke at Davos, Trump followed. “Canada lives because of the United States,” he said in his address.

Carney recently met with Chinese President Xi Jinping and announced that Canada and China reached a trade deal that included electric vehicles.

Initially, Trump praised the deal. But he seems to have changed his mind, writing on Truth Social that Canrey “thinks he is going to make Canada a ‘Drop Off Port’ for China to send goods and products into the United States, he is sorely mistaken.”
