It has been “common law” for Viktor Orbán to attend the “Tusványos” Summer University in Băile Tușnad.
The motto of this year’s event, which will last until dawn on Sunday, is “On a better road”, which refers to the Christian-conservative, right-wing ideological community of the founders, says organizer Krisztina Sándor.
It is taking place between July 23 and 28.
Over 1,000 guests will attend the 500 events in 34 tents, with various themes, from the economic and political to those relating to culture, gastronomy or sports, reports Agerpres.

Orbán has made controversial statements from this tribune, and is likely to do so this year given the souring of his relations with Brussels, despite Hungary holding the rotating EU presidency at present.
At the last edition of the event last year, Viktor Orbán accused that the Romanian MFA determined what he was allowed to say and what he was not allowed to say.
He complained that he was forbidden from discussing “delicate matters”, “sensitivities”, “national symbols that can offend the feelings of Romanians”.
Later, the Ministry of External Affairs summoned its ambassador to Bucharest from Budapest after Orban’s statements in Tușnad.
Orbán warned that the “Romanian brothers” must take into account that Hungary will take over the presidency of the EU Council next year and supports Romania’s accession to Schengen.
