Millions will come to Paris to see the 2024 Olympics, which will run from July 26 to August 11.

Millions of tickets have been sold, but those interested can still buy well into the games – for as little as $15, and as much as $2,700.

But events can also be watched for free in the open air, on the upper banks of the Seine.

The games will open with a very unique ceremony, as athletes will glide in on the river Seine on barges.

As such, 75,000 police officers, soldiers and guards have been mobilized.

This makes it the largest peacetime deployment of security forces in French history, informs the BBC.

French officials say there have been no specific threats, but that they are watching out for militarized terrorism, and for cyber-attacks.
