Two brothers struck down by lightning in Cluj

In a village in Cluj county, two men were found dead in a field, with several injuries that were allegedly caused by lightning. It appears that two were surprised by a violent storm, under the open sky.

The two 43- and 44-year-old men, respectively, from Săcuieu commune, left for the fields with the animals of the people they were taking care of to earn extra money.

On Wednesday evening, after an electrical storm, another villager found several dead animals with visible burns. At that moment he immediately notified the police as he did not see the brothers.

After almost half an hour of searching, the two were found. They were lying on the ground and the ambulance officers pronounced them dead. They had several injuries on their bodies caused by lightning.

Most likely, the victims tried to run for shelter, but were unable to reach safety.

In the pocket of one of the men, the police found a mobile phone on which the Ro-Alert message of code orange for bad weather remained on the display, according to actualdecluj.ro.
