Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Bucharest unveiled the Black Badge Spectre for the first time in Romania at a select reception held last week in the capital attended by the city’s well-heeled where customers celebrated the official debut.
The Black Badge Spectre represents Rolls-Royce in its strongest and boldest form – perfectly capturing the spirit of those for whom it was created, a press release said.
“Black Badge customers are unique in the Rolls-Royce universe – they push the boundaries and want more than traditional interpretations of luxury,” said Michael Schmidt, President of MHS Holding who unveiled the motor.
“Ghost, Cullinan and their Black Badge versions are enjoying significant interest. Two years ago, Spectre marked a historic moment. Today we are delighted to welcome his alter ego, right here in Bucharest,” he added.
Rolls-Royce customers love exceptional products and uncompromising experiences while Black Badge customers are seeking a stronger, more rebellious personality, an attitude that reflects their own personal story.
Max Mies, Regional Sales Manager Western & Central Europe, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, said: “Now that the Black Badge Spectre makes its debut, the extraordinary momentum of the Spectre – with its unique, quiet and effortless yet powerful driving experience – is about to continue.” He pointed out: “In all respects, the Black Badge Spectre is first a Rolls-Royce and only then an electric car.”
British Ambassador to Romania, Giles Portman, also celebrated the arrival of the Black Spectre in a Facebook post on Monday.
The Black Badge Spectre can generate four-digit torque (1075 Nm), delivering an impressive 485 kW (659 hp) of power. This makes the Black Badge Spectre the most powerful Rolls-Royce in history, a press release said.
Prices for the Black Spectre start at a basic $400,000 and can easily exceed $550,000 depending on extensive customization options,
To ensure that this philosophy accurately reflects how customers use their cars in real life, a group of Rolls-Royce Black Badge owners granted engineers access to their anonymized data while driving. The study showed that all customers exploit maximum power for short periods rather than long periods.

For the Black Badge Spectre, the sensation of a colossal explosion of power is taken to the extreme by two powertrain innovations. These functions have a historical reference: in aircraft equipped with the legendary Rolls-Royce Merlin engine, such as the Supermarine Spitfire, pilots could achieve an additional boost in power by pressing a switch on the throttle lever. Pilots were required to report the use of the feature to flight engineers on landing as a precaution – a requirement that does not apply to Black Badge Spectre drivers today.
The first innovation is a unique Infinity Mode, a tribute to the infinity symbol that marks the identity of a Rolls-Royce Black Badge. By pressing the ∞ button on the steering wheel, the full power of 485 kW (659 hp) is available, providing a more direct response to acceleration.
The Black Badge Spectre also features Spirited Mode, which allows the driver to experience intense and instant acceleration. It temporarily boosts torque to a remarkable 1075 Nm.
Rolls-Royce specialists have made several adjustments to the chassis to inspire customers with confidence in harnessing the unprecedented power of the Black Badge Spectre. Steering weight has been increased, rolling stabilization has been adjusted and the shock absorbers have been improved – all contributing to a perfect balance between engagement and the smooth, famous Magic Carpet Ride feel of Rolls-Royce cars.
