Prior to the Halloween Tour by night, there’s a a day tour of the castle which is perched high on a rock between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Children under 7 will be allowed in for free.

Bran Castle was first built in the 14th century and is believed to be the inspiration for Irish author Bram Stoker’s 1897 novel, „Dracula.”

However, the author himself never visited Romania or the property, the castle says.

During Covid-19 pandemic, the castle also  served as a vaccination center and handed out a „diploma” to those who received the shot, certifying they were jabbed at Bran Castle.

Halloween which us celebrated on October 31 is a commercial version of the celebration of All Saints’ Day on Nov. 2 which marks loved ones who have passed.
