Germany’s chancellor Olaf Scholz will travel to Romania on Monday where he will hold talks with Romanian President, Klaus Iohannis.
Talks will focus on bilateral relations and European security and energy policies, the German Embassy in Bucharest said.
Scholz will later meet with Prime Minister Nicolae Ciucă.

Leaders will talk about European support for Moldova which is facing high inflation, protests and a wave of refugees from neighboring Ukraine. Moldova is seeking to join the European Union.
The chancellor is also expected to meet with the speaker of the Deputies Speaker, Marcel Ciolacu, as well as with representatives of the small German community in Romania.
