Harry and Meghan involved in dangerous car chase

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, along with Meghan Markle’s mother Doria Ragland, were involved in a “near catastrophic car chase” with paparazzi for over two hours, a spokesperson for the prince has said.

The incident happened after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended an awards ceremony in New York on Tuesday, where Meghan was honored for her work – their first public appearance since King Charles III’s Coronation this month.

The spokesperson added it resulted in near collisions with other drivers on the road, pedestrians and two police officers. The New York Police Department (NYPD) did not immediately confirm knowledge of the incident.

The prince has long spoken out about his anger about press intrusion which he blames for the death of his mother Princess Diana, who was killed in 1997 when her limousine crashed as she was chased by paparazzi in Paris.
