In 2018, Eric Roberts played Matt Dillon’s doctor in “Head Full of Honey”, a Warner Bros. Germany production directed by Til Schweiger. Emily Mortimer and Nick Nolte starred. He also had a supporting role in the independent film “Hard Luck Love Song”, directed by Justin Corsbie.

He has starred in more than 700 productions for the big screen and television, making him one of the most prolific actors in Hollywood history.

Born in Biloxi, Mississippi, Roberts grew up in the Atlanta area, but began his theater career in New York City, where he won the Theatre World Award for his Broadway role in “Burn This.”

While in Bucharest, he joined the Metropolis Foundation to support the ‘Prof. Dr. Alexandru Obregia’ Pediatric Psychiatry Clinic in Bucharest.

The new pediatric psychiatry clinic is designed around patient needs – treatment, recovery and therapy under one roof – along with educational and emotional-support areas for children and their families. Facilities include 67 beds in more than 40 two-bed rooms with private bathrooms, over 20 therapy rooms, and a separate nine-bed unit dedicated to adolescents with substance-use addictions.

The construction of the new clinic requires a total investment estimated at €16.5 million. The Metropolis Philanthropic Foundation has so far raised €6 million in donations and sponsorships – enough to complete the building’s structural frame, yet more than €10 million is still needed to finish the project.
