A motorist who put his foot on the accelerator by mistake smashed into a restaurant in southwest Romania.
Nobody was hurt when the incident happened on Sunday which was caught on CCTV. The restaurant was empty at the time.
The 48-year-old motorist, however, knocked over his wife who was getting out of the car, but she was unharmed as was their 6-year-old son who was traveling in the back seat.
The unnamed man had just parked the car and apparently accidentally put his foot on the accelerator, smashing the glass doors of the restaurant and ramming tables and chairs. The car was stopped by a restaurant wall.
The motorist who was visiting the Baile Herculane area as a tourist had no traces of drugs or alcohol in his body.
He is liable for damages caused to the restaurant, media reported.
