When a new pope is chosen, white smoke will emerge from the chimney.
Until then, secret balloting continues in the Sistine Chapel.
The 133 cardinals have already voted twice.
A candidate needs 2/3 majority to be named pontiff.
From now on, there will be four rounds of voting every day.
But there’s no need for panic or suspicion – it usually takes several days for a new pope to be elected.
