Romania is through to Euro 2024 knockouts after it drew 1-1 draw with Slovakia and finished top of Group E.
Slovakia also progressed as one of the best third-placed teams.
Romania and Slovakia came into their final game of the group knowing that a draw would take them both through to the last 16.
There were 11 shots in the opening 25 minutes and Slovakia scored in the 11th minute with a powerful header from Ondrej Duda. By half-time Romania leveled with a strong penalty from Razvan Marin.
The two sides continued to slog it out into the second half, in a game with the added drama of lightning and heavy rain.
Belgium, who come second in the group, will face France in the round of 16, while Romania will face a third-placed team.
Romania finished on top after briefly being bottom after Slovakia’s goal. Ukraine finished bottom of the group and are out.
