Romanians snore a lot.
A recent study found that Romania took seventh place in  the world of ‘snoring nations’ with significant sleep apnea prevalence and a high obesity rate contributing to widespread snoring issues.
The study analyzed the countries based on factors like snoring-related Google searches, prevalence of sleep apnea, number of ENT doctors  to determine which nations snore the most.
It found  the U.S. wass the most snoring nation, driven by a significant number of Google searches related to snoring and a high prevalence of sleep apnea
Australia comes next with a strong presence in Google searches of “how to stop snoring” and “why do I snore”,  with the U.K. in third place, marked by more than 92,000 snoring-related monthly average searches and a moderate obesity rate.
The Onebed study analyzed different data points worldwide to find out which countries snore the most.  Factors such as population size, the frequency of Google searches for snoring-related queries, such as “how to stop snoring”, “why do I snore”, and “snoring remedies” the number of ENT specialists available, the prevalence of sleep apnea, and national obesity rates were considered, a press release sent  to Universul.net said.
Each of these factors was assessed to determine the overall impact and prevalence of snoring across various nations. A composite score was then calculated to determine the overall ranking of the countries.
