ICon Arts combines immersive masterclasses and a vibrant festival, bringing together aspiring artists, mentors, and performances.
Both a performance festival and a series of summer courses focused on contemporary music, ICon Arts Academy encourages the exchange between young performers and composers/masters.
The academy and the festival began as a series of concerts in which academics performed.
As every year, master classes are currently taking place in Biertan, Richiș, Copşa Mare, and Moşna, heritage villages Sibiu County, as well as in Braşov and Râşnov.
Each masterclass is a week-long.
There are eight seats in each master class.
Concerts are ongoing until August 11.
ICon Arts artistic residencies offer composers and performers around the world the opportunity to spend a week or two in Biertan to develop musical or interpretive creations under the guidance of renowned artists.
The program includes classical, contemporary and jazz concerts.
