The parking lot in front of the Departures terminal of Henri Coanda Bucharest Airport in Otopeni closed on Monday in order to accommodate construction work for the future metro station.
If you want to park near the Departures terminal, you can use the parking lot located in the central roundabout: P3 parking.
Travellers should note that the provisional parking space is slightly smaller than the old one.
The airport hopes to expand this to greater capacity by November.
Parking there is quite expensive, at 20 lei per hour.
Construction of this new metro line towards Otopeni has also restricted traffic in Bucharest.
The project has a value of 10 billion RON and will be finished by a far-off 2028.
