From Thursday, July 3 to Sunday, July 6, Zaiafet pe Lună Festival will be open, bringing together music, art, and sustainability practices in a dendrological estate outside of Cluj-Napoca.

Activities involve live concerts, DJ sets, yoga sessions, creative workshops and workshops on waste-mindfulness, recycling, and going plastic-free.

There are also eco-bars, in an entirely zero-waste space: single-use plastic is entirely forbidden.

As every year, the events unfold in the Teleki domain, in the village of Luna de Jos — a part of which is called “The Land of the Blue Butterfly”, thanks to the butterflies which roam through part of the forest.

The Teleki domain hosts the remnants of a hunting tower and historic stables.

The purpose of the festival is to depart from the maximum waste effect of traditional festivals, and not leaving behind tons of rubbish and batteries. Profits are reinvested into the rehabilitation of Teleki Historical Park — the grounds on which the festival is held.

It is divided into sections: CUIB – The Holistic Sanctuary (yoga, gong bath, voice activation), Re/Create (creative, art, poetry workshops), ZaiaTalks, Movement Area (from PlayFight to Aerial Silk), Kids & Family Zone, the Jam Session Corner: (from sound therapy to African drums, and the Ethical Bazar.

Complete schedule is available on the festival’s website.
