Ten people are dead in a school shooting in the rural town of Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia, Canada.
Among the dead, from what appears to be self-inflicted injury, is the alleged shooter — a brown-haired woman wearing a dress.
This is the deadliest shooting in Canada since 2020.
On February 10, local time, Royal Canadian Mounted Police were called to Tumbler Ridge Secondary School where a “lockdown and secure and hold” had been activated.
Police entered the school, immediately locating multiple victims — seven were found dead at the scene, while an eighth passed away en route to hospital.
What’s more, two more were found dead in a house, which police believe to be connected to the attack.
Two others are currently hopsitalized with grave injuries, while 25 are being treated for lesser injuries.
This is a very small school, for students aged 12 – 18, in a small town.
The shooter’s identity has not been made public.
