Aircraft with 112 passengers on board makes emergency landing in Romania

A Tailwind Airlines aircraft flying from Antalya to Prague with 112 passengers on board made an emergency landing on Friday morning at Bucharest’s Henri Coandă Airport.

The landing came after the pilot detected  possible fuel leaks. The plane landed safely and will continue its flight after checks,  a statement said.

On  Friday morning, an aircraft belonging to Tailwind Airlines, with 112 passengers on board, requested an emergency landing at Bucharest Henri Coandă International Airport (AIHCB). The aircraft, which was flying Antalya – Prague, signaled the detection of possible technical problems (fuel leaks)”, according to the Bucharest Airports National Company.

As a result, the emergency team arrived on the tarmac, consisting of firefighters and ambulances.

„At 07.28, the plane landed safely and will continue its flight to Prague after technical checks. Air traffic at the airport was carried out in normal conditions, without any problems (…),” the statement said.
