The Ministry of Interior has debunked the latest online disinformation claiming that Romania will join the military conflict in Ukraine.
“We would like to point out that false information is once again being promoted online, to which government institutions have drawn attention since March this year. The information regarding the so-called “participation of Romania in a military conflict” is totally false and is part of a disinformation campaign,” the Ministry of Interior said on Tuesday evening in a message on Facebook.

The institution said the “documents” that were published were forgeries, and the authors had used the logo on a public press release regarding a government internship program.

The so-called statement said that all men aged 18-35 would be drafted to help military operations in Ukraine.
