Elon Musk has rented out Dracula’s Castle in Transylvania for a mega Halloween bash and a get-together of billionaires and celebrities.
A guest at the party told Universul.net that the costumes were ‘spectacular.’
Romania was the birthplace of Vlad the Impaler who inspired Bram Stoker’s Dracula character. One of his residences is Bran Castle which has come to be associated with the blood-sucking vampire.
“I came to give Elon my father’s (historian Radu Florescu) best-seller “Dracula: Prince of Many Faces.” It actually states that Bran is mistakingly referred to as Dracula’s castle. Guess we will keep that annoying fact on the side,” said John M. Florescu, a documentary filmmaker, adding that the costumes were “spectacular.”
By 8 p.m local time, Musk had not shown up, but Mr Florescu said he spotted Australian model Elle MacPherson and Swedish actress Julia Sandstrom.
Reports appeared on Saturday that Elon Musk, the founder of Tesla and SpaceX had apparently rented it out and has invited actress Angelina Jolie, Google founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page, SpaceX’s Steve Jurvetson, and PayPal’s Peter Thiel, whose arrival in Romania was snapped by local paparazzi.
It published pictures of Thiel out in Brasov, close to Bran on Sunday.
Media Flux claimed to have learned about the party on Saturday and posted pictures of what they said was one guest getting into a helicopter. On Saturday, it published photos of MacPherson in Brasov.
Guests reportedly arrived on private jets and were taken from Bucharest to Bran by helicopter. Sandstrom, was photographed in Romania and confirmed her presence at the party on Instagram.
