Former presidential candidate Calin Georgescu has threatened judges at Romania’s  top court with “hard years in prison” for canceling the presidential election, a decision that came after declassified intelligence revealed foreign interference in the ballot.

“I draw your attention to the fact that you risk paying for the annulled votes with heavy years in prison,” he said in a message on his Facebook page to Constitutional Court (CCR) judges.

“Ladies and gentlemen judges of the CCR, have you violated your oath? By what did you decide on December 6, did you swear crookedly? Do you want God to help you – as the magistrates’ oath says!? Then repair your mistake so that people still trust the right judgment of the institutions, otherwise you will not find refuge in hell either! I draw your attention to the fact that you risk paying for the canceled votes with heavy years of imprisonment. Do not forget that no one is above the law, not even you, especially you, who should have protected the law, not unjustly condemned it!”, Georgescu said.

“God is only one, do not think you are His equals!”, the mystic Georgescu ended his message.

His comments came after the Coalition for the Defense of the Rule of Law and Calin Georgescu have initiated an action against electoral authorities and several state institutions over the Dec. 6 decision to annul the elections.

On Monday. the High Court of Cassation and Justice declined rule on the case and sent it to the Bucharest Court of Appeal. It is unclear what the court will do.
