A man from New Zealand has been charged for theft after stealing a diamond-studded Fabergé egg locket.
More precisely, he is claims to have swallowed it.
Thus, it has not been recovered.
The Fabergé egg locket is valued at NZ$33,585, or approximately £14,600.
The Octopussy egg, as it is named, was inspired by the 1983 James Bond film of the same name, which, ironically enough, entres on an elaborate Fabergé egg heist.
The Octopussy is set with 60 white diamonds and 15 blue sapphires, containing inside an 18K gold miniature octopus.
Police were called to Partridge Jewellers in central Auckland.
The 32-year-old man was arrested in store, from which he also stole an iPad.
Additionally, the young man reportedly stole cat litter and flea control products from a private residence around that time.
He has undergone a medical assessment and remains in custody, and will appear in court on 8 December.
