Romanian fashion designer Irina Schrotter has confirmed she designed the outfits creating a buzz worn by the partner of the Romanian president to the recent summit organized by Melania Trump in Washington.

The well-known designer said Mirabela Grădinaru chose to promote local design from her outfits down to the accessories created by the Otilia Flonta brand.

One of Mrs Gradinaru’s outfits was a modern twist on Romanian traditional peasant wear while another was a Chanel-style suit with a collarless jacket and pencil skirt.

“We are glad to see our products worn and appreciated at such a time…… The visibility offered to Romanian brands by Mrs. Mirabela Grădinaru is a support that Romanian entrepreneurs have been waiting for decades,” Irina Schrotter wrote on Facebook
