Trump urges feds to deliver “the single largest mass deportation programme in history”

Undeterred by strife in the United States, Donald Trump has ordered an expansion of the detention and deportation of migrants across the country. 

Posting on his personal social media platform, Truth Social, Trump spurred federal agencies to “do all in their power” to deliver “the single largest mass deportation programme in history”. 

He has chosen Los Angeles, Chicago and New York as targets. 

This were huge protests against Trump have been ongoing since June 6. 

He has ordered the “entire administration to put every resource possible behind this effort” in an effort to “protect the domestic tranquility of the United States”, and urged them “to go get the job done”. 

But officials in sanctuary cities have pushed back against federal immigration authorities, having defended their legal rights to protect undocumented migrants. 

Meanwhile, protests rage on. 

One person died in a shooting at a No Kings march in Salt Lake City.
