French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte Macron, have filed a defamation lawsuit against Candace Owens over her accusing Brigitte of being born a man in a “relentless and unjustified smear campaign […] of global humiliation”.
The 219-page defamation complaint, filed in Delaware state court, accuses Owens of proliferating “demonstrably false” statements both on social media and a deeply cruel eight-part podcast entitle Becoming Brigitte, in “pursuit of fame” and geared towards a “frenzied fan base”.
Why Delaware? Because Owens’ business entities are incorporated in Delaware.
“Owens has dissected their appearance, their marriage, their friends, their family, and their personal history — twisting it all into a grotesque narrative designed to inflame and degrade,” the complaint alleges.
Brigitte Macron has previously faced controversy, but not for being trans: she corrupted a 16-year-old Emmanuel into an affair, and recently smacked him across the face in an incident that was captured on video footage.
Brigitte Macron was previously awarded £6,750 last year after two other far-right influencers — Amandine Roy and Natacha Rey — accused her of being a transgender woman, and also accused Brigitte’s brother, Jean-Michel Trogneux, of having changed gender.
“Transvestigations” began in the Michelle Obama era.
