Hungary is once again the most corrupt state in the European Union, informs Transparency International.
The ruling government could care less about these measurements.
According to the study’s calculations, Hungary is roughly 60% corrupt in its governmental workings.
Things have gone bad since 2008, says hvg.hu. This marked a radical decline from 2007, when it did very well as a non-corrupt country.
In 2020, Hungary, Romania, and Bulgaria were tied. Now, Hungary, previously envied by the other two countries for its proximity to Western Europe, has overtaken both in corruption.
Romania and Bulgaria managed to enter the Schengen space this year, after many trials and tribulations.
