Britain’s Ambassador to Romania Andrew Noble on Monday praised the ‘bravery and selflessness’ of dozens of Romanian rescue works who were injured as they fought a deadly blaze.
Two people and 57 people were injured at two explosions at a liquid gas station outside Bucharest on Saturday evening. Among them were 39 fire fighters, 2 police officers and two gendarmes.
“I would like to express my shock at the awful explosions which took place at Crevedia. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of those who sadly lost their lives and with those who were injured, Ambassador Noble said in a statement sent to Universul.net.
„Our societies depend on the bravery and selflessness of all the men and women in the emergency services. They have once again earned our respect and gratitude through their dedication to public service in the face of real danger,” he added.
