President Klaus Iohannis on Tuesday said Romania will push for Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia to join the European Union.
“Romania fully supports the integration of Ukraine, as well as … Moldova and Georgia ” in the European Union,” he said in a tweet.
Romania has supported the eastward of expansion of the 27-member bloc for years. Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has made the case more urgent and compelling, analysts say.
„The place of these partners of the EU is within the European family, and Romania will do its best for this to become reality,” the Romanian president said.
Romania🇷🇴 fully supports the integration of Ukraine🇺🇦, as well as of the Republic of Moldova🇲🇩 and Georgia🇬🇪, with the European Union🇪🇺. The place of these partners of the EU is within the European family, and Romania will do its best for this to become reality.
