An unexploded Second World War bomb has been discovered on the tracks of the Gare du Nord train station in Paris.
Eurostar trains between London and Paris have been cancelled for the entire day, while other routes are not affected.
That’s a total of 32 trains and thousands of passengers disrupted.
The discovery was made last night, with the occasion of work on the St Denis tracks.
Services will resume once French police have completed mine clearance operations.
It’s not uncommon for bombs from the World Wars to be found in France — but the location is suspicious.
Bombs left over from the First World War or Second World War are regularly discovered around France, but it is very rare to find them in such a people-packed location.
