50% of state employees in Romania do not know what and how many online services are offered by the institution they are part of, demonstrates a survey conducted by APSAP Training Center.
According to the source quoted, eight out of ten state employees have not been able to work remotely due to an inadequate digital infrastructure.
About half of employees who do not know the number of digital services offered by the institution they are part of (475 persons) have been working there for over ten years, while 15% do not know if their employer is present on online social media (Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin).
According to data supplied by Eurostat in 2020, Finland has been the European leader in remote work at 25%. Meanwhile, 2.5% of public employees in Romania work remotely.
In March 2024, APSAP Training Center organized a series of free training sessions accessible online, for employees from the Romanian public administration, in order to upgrade their knowledge and keep them updated with new legislative regulations in 11 relevant fields, reports ACT Media.
