Romanian authorities say the number of confirmed coronavirus cases rose to 9,710 on Wednesday with 468 new cases reported in the last 24 hours.
The government’s Strategic Communication Group said the death count stood at 508 since reporting began 57 days ago.
Some 288 people are currently receiving treatment in intensive care units.
A total of 2,406 people have recovered from the virus, the group said in its daily report.
There are 12,809 people in institutionalized quarantine, while under 41,000 people are in self-isolation at home.
Some 106,357 tests have been carried out, almost 6,000 in the past day.
