The Kremlin has identified several locations in the United Kingdom which it claims are involved in the production of drones and equipment for Ukraine, and which it has declared it intends to target.
The sites mentioned include areas in London, Leicester, Reading and Suffolk (Mildenhall, where an RAF base is situated).
Dmitri Medvedev, deputy chairman of Russia’s Security Council, wrote on X:“Sleep well, European partners.”
He said that the list should be “taken literally”.
Russia’s defence ministry said that efforts by European governments to expand drone production for Ukraine were contributing to a worsening “military-political situation” across the continent.
In a separate statement, the defence ministry warned that increasing military cooperation with Ukraine could lead to “unpredictable consequences”.
The ministry added that European citizens should be aware of what it described as the “true causes” of security risks, as well as the locations of joint or Ukraine-linked defence production sites within their own countries.
