The London- and Bucharest-based platform BRDG3 Capital has launched Nexus Fund I, a growth fund investing in the chronically underfunded space between angel rounds and large private equity funds—backed by one of the most diverse international teams in the European growth equity sector.
BRDG3 Capital (“BRDG3”), a new multi-vertical investment platform this week announced its public launch, a bid to address what it called a persistent gap in the European investment landscape: the disconnect between world-class opportunities in Central and Eastern Europe and the growth capital required to unlock their potential, according to a press release.
Headquartered in London, with a substantial operational base in Bucharest and a fund domiciled in Jersey, BRDG3 (short for Bridge Three) “combines the credibility of British institutional capital with genuine, on-the-ground capability in Romania and across the region.”
Romania possesses one of the richest pools of engineering and creative talent in Europe, yet Central and Eastern Europe continues to attract only a small fraction of European growth capital.
BRDG3’s investment thesis is built on the growing bilateral relationship between the United Kingdom and Romania—two NATO allies and trading partners—and on Romania’s position as one of the fastest-rising markets within the European Investment Fund portfolio.
“We are strategists in capital allocation before we are investors. By anchoring our platform in both London and Bucharest, we connect institutional capital with talent and opportunities that the market has overlooked for far too long.”
Its founders claim it is a combination “that cannot be replicated by a fund based solely in London or focused on a single market.”
Nexus Fund I invests in growth-stage companies with proven market validation that require capital and structure in order to scale. The fund’s five verticals—deep tech, interactive industries, the experience economy, innovation real estate, and a Foundation dedicated to talent development—are designed to reinforce one another: technology feeds into interactive products, audiences generated support live events, events anchor real estate projects, and the Foundation creates a pipeline of founders and opportunities for all other verticals.
The fund is structured for UK LPs (Limited Partners—institutional investors who allocate capital to a fund without participating in its management) seeking exposure to CEE without having to build their own operational presence on the ground.
The Founding & Managing Partner of BRDG3 Capital is Luke Baker.
There are two launch events.
London, 6 July 2026: House of Lords, Palace of Westminster.
Bucharest, 9 July 2026: The Marmorosch Bucharest | Autograph Collection.
