The Climate Change Summit started yesterday, October 15, and will continue today and tomorrow in Bucharest.
It involves leaders from various fields of activity, from biodiversity and circular economy to public policies in managing natural resources, on a regional and global levels.
It is organized by Social Innovations Solutions and has BRD Groupe Societe Generale as a founding partner.
Dozens of experts will debate on topics like funding the energy transition, the vital role of technological innovation for sustainable cities, the importance of inter-sector collaboration between governments, the private sector and the civil society, and also the necessary public policies in combating climate change at the global level.
According to the organizers, Social Innovation Solutions, on Tuesday, October 15, virtual messages from Klaus Iohannis and Ursula von der Leyen were presented, as well as from the chief of the Representative Office of the European Commission in Bucharest, Ramona Chiriac, the minister of agriculture and rural development, Florin Barbu, the minister of economy, entrepreneurship and tourism, Radu Oprea, and the minister of environment, waters and forests, Mircea Fechet.
Related events are scheduled in 30 locations in Bucharest.
During the summit, there will be scheduled related events in more than 30 locations in the Capital City and in the region.
