The Romanian Film Festival in Seattle will take place this year between November 7 – 9.
It will be held at SIFF Cinema Uptown.
This is the 12th edition, with the festival launched in 2014.
Films from both Romania and the Republic of Moldova are included under the theme of “Unifying Stories”.
Subthemes include ambition, ethical dilemmas, and displacement, but also quintessential Romanian dark humor, the organizers say.
This year’s special guests are directors Tudor Giurgiu and Natalia Shaufert, and cinematographer Boróka Biró.
