An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.2-magnitude rattled Romania on Tuesday and was felt in Moldova, Ukraine and Bulgaria. There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
The earthquake was recorded at 17:40 local time with a depth of 130 kilometers. Its epicenter was located 52 km east of the city of Brașov.
Moldovan President Maia Sandu experienced the quake during a live televised interview in the Moldovan capital, Chisinau.
In neighboring Ukraine, Odessa Mayor Hennadii Trukhanov said:”According to preliminary information, an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 occurred in Romania. It was felt in Bulgaria, Moldova, and Ukraine, including Odesa. There was no information about damage or casualties in the city,” he said in a statement.
