Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are divorcing after two years of marriage.
The breakup comes after reports the two lived in separate houses.
Jennifer Lopez recently celebrated her birthday with a party that did not seem to include Ben Affleck.
The two had put their house in Beverly Hills up for sale.
Lopez and Affleck first met on the set of “Gigli” (2003), and began a romantic relationship.
The couple became engaged in 2002 with a famous pink diamond ring. They were set to marry in 2003, but their relationship cracked down from media pressure, and eventually split in 2004.
Ben Affleck appeared as Lopez’s love interest in the music video for her 2002 single “Jenny from the Block,” the storyline of which takes on the paparazzi treatment of their relationship.
They then went on to marry and have children with other people (Jennifer Gardner in Affleck’s case and Marc Anthony in Lopez’s case) but, finding themselves both divorced, reconciled in 2021.
In the film, Ben Affleck said he learned to “compromise” with Lopez about her desire to be more public about their private life.
Now reports suggest that Lopez did not list any details of a prenuptial agreement in her petition for divorce.
